Nova - The Great Escape (DVD) The NOVA team revisits the site of the miraculous World War II escape mission dramatized by film THE GREAT ESCAPE (starring Steve McQueen). This program follows archeologists on a search for a tunnel that was never discovered by German forces. The Great Escape (DVD) John Sturges's dramatization of the true story of a group of British, American, mcdonough great escape movie theater and Canadian POWs who successfully escaped from Stalag Luft III in Upper Silesia in March 1944 is arguably the best World War II adventure film ever made.
